The daughter of living legend Tom Curren has forged quite a reputation in her own right. Gracious, stylish, ambitious and feisty, Lee Ann won her first ever European Pro Junior Title in 2006. In the space of just a couple of seasons, the 22 year old from Biarritz, who didn't enter her first competition until 2005, has succeeded in establishing herself as one of the rising stars of French and European surfing.

When she was 15, she decided that surfing would be her life and that she would start to compete among the best and travel around the world. Lee Ann is one of those true athletes who are so passionate about their sport; they don't care about the conditions.

In the past years she has taken part in the ISA World Championships as part of the French Team, crowned both European Junior Champion and two times ASP European Champion. After a hugely successful year in 2009 on the WQS circuit, she qualified as the youngest European ever for the 2010 WCT. Unfortunately an injury last year slowed her down in her season and she came close to requalifying for the World Tour. Now she is trying to come back better and surf in the Women Star Events in order to requalify for next year.

Lee Ann has definitely established her place among the international surfing elite and she is also known as a really good tube rider not fearing heavy conditions. She always likes to surf Sunset when she is around Hawaii in winter time!

Lee Ann has also a deep passion for music; she plays the bass guitar, sings with her mates and enjoys composing her own music. In 2009 Lee Ann founded her Surf and Hope Foundation after experiencing the hard life of kids in Brazilian favelas. Her main focus is in providing help and hope through surfing. This young lady really has it all to become an icon in women surfing.
