Katie Ormerod

Katie Ormerod is one of the most exciting young female slopestyle riders on the scene today. Her progressive rail tricks and large bag of kicker tricks are the envy of many of the older riders.

Katie got into snowboarding at 5 years old and quickly fell in love with snowboarding. She has already been riding for eight years and wants to follow in the footsteps of other successful female snowboarders from the UK like Jenny Jones and Roxy team mate Aimee Fuller. She counts Aimee as her favorite rider and finds her a great inspiration. Katie is looking forward to the season and is shining bright as one of the most gifted stars on the Roxy Future Team.

In 2014 she surprised the world, by becoming the first female to land a backside double cork 1080. The backside double cork 1080 has been a men’s slopestyle trick for 4-5 years, but had never been landed by a female rider. Katie was also one of the first female riders to land a straight double backflip on a park kicker, now she moved on to even bigger things.
